ROBERT W. SCOTT concentrates his practice in civil litigation where he has maintained an extensive practice in asbestos litigation defense for corporations and insurance companies.

Mr. Scott attended the public schools in Hinsdale, Illinois and obtained his BS degree in political science from Oregon State University, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law.

Mr. Scott began his practice in Peoria, Illinois. His heavy caseload of asbestos defense litigation includes representation of clients in both state and federal courts throughout Illinois, where he has taken many cases through trial to successful conclusions.

He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the Illinois and Colorado court systems.

He is a member of the Illinois Defense Counsel, and the Illinois State and Peoria County Bar Associations.

DONALD M. HARTSHORN concentrates his practice in asbestos litigation defense, commercial and residential real estate, and estate planning.

Mr. Hartshorn attended the public schools in Wood River, Illinois. He went to the University of Illinois on an Illinois State Scholarship and was an Edmund J. James Scholar. He graduated with a B.A. degree in the teaching of English and a minor in speech. Upon graduation, he enrolled at the University of Illinois College of Law where he was an Assistant Editor of the Law Forum, the College's law review. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in the top 10% of his graduating class.

After teaching business and labor law as an Assistant Professor in the College of Business at Western Illinois University, Mr. Hartshorn was named an Assistant Dean at the University of Illinois College of Law.

He entered the private practice of law in Peoria, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the Illinois and Missouri court systems.

He has written and lectured for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education on residential real estate contracts, and has lectured to numerous other groups on real estate and estate planning.

Mr. Hartshorn has been an active participant in various real estate related organizations, serving on the Section Council on Real Estate Law for the Illinois State Bar Association, and has been a long time member of the Real Estate Committee of the Peoria County Bar Association. He is a member of the Illinois State and Peoria County Bar Association.

In addition to his heavy involvement with the Firm's asbestos litigation practice, Mr. Hartshorn has had an extensive experience handling commercial and residential real estate matters for individuals and corporations, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Resolution Trust Corporation. He is an attorney in the Peoria Area Association of Realtors. He handles estate planning and business succession matters, as well as a wide range of other business and general practice matters.

TIM SWAIN, an experienced trial lawyer, has tried a wide range of cases before juries, judges, and administrative bodies. He has handled matters in the trial courts and the appellate courts, both State and Federal. His broad civil law experience has prepared him to handle cases and fact situation at all levels. As an estate planner, he emphasizes the importance of planning not only to reduce tax burdens, but also to preserve and foster strong continuing family relationships. He maintains an active practice in the Firm's asbestos defense litigation practice.

Mr. Swain graduated from the University of Illinois with a major in political science, and from the University of Illinois College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.

Mr. Swain is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and Illinois and Tennessee court systems.

Following service as a Ranger in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division, Mr. Swain entered private practice in Peoria, Illinois, where he has served as an Illinois Special Assistant Attorney General for Condemnations, a Hearing Officer for the Illinois Pollution Control Board. He has written and lectured for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

Mr. Swain has long been active in the Salvation Army and has served on its National Advisory Board.
